An Invitation

Updated: Aug 6, 2020

This first blog is an invitation.

An invitation from New Narratives Community to members of our Jewish/Israeli and Arab/Palestinian communities.

Most of us who are aware, engaged with and/or actively think of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would concede that both sides have been going through many distressing experiences throughout the conflict. That there are many unspoken words, on both sides, that are waiting to be spoken.

There are debates and controversies as well as various initiatives on the international stage.

But what’s missing in this decades long conflict is a true appreciation and understanding of the pains and scars of each side by the other side.

New Narratives Community is created with the sole purpose of creating conversation and promoting dialogue between the Jewish and Palestinian communities. Of having both narratives represented and heard to arrive at shared understanding.

The status quo is not sustainable, honourable or dignified. I believe most of us, regardless of which community we belong to, want the current circumstances to be transformed so that we can all live in freedom, peace, love and dignity.

Hence my invitation: please join us at New Narratives Community so that we can change the existing conversation. We have many ideas as to how we are going to promote dialogue. At the same time, we are open to all that you have to say: your suggestions for events and/or initiatives as well as your concerns and grievances. Please feel free to contact us.

Thank you.
