Book Discussion - The Lemon Tree

This event is composed of three components.

​

The first component is an introduction to the New Narratives Community.

​

For the second component, we will have a conversation about a nonfiction "novel" called “The Lemon Tree” written by Sandy Tolan. It’s the real-life story of a Jewish/Israeli woman (Dalia) and an Arab/Palestinian man (Bashir) who share a common history: they both lived in the same house but at different time periods. Bashir lived there up until the 1948 war while Dalia lived there after 1948. The story revolves around the friendship that develops between these two characters.

For the third component of the meeting, we will brainstorm about how we can cooperate and plan joint events and initiatives.
